From Staff Sergeant/Infantryman to Professional Wrestler, Frankie Gamboa has found a new home with Phoenix Championship Wrestling.

The moment I walked through the doors of the Arizona Pro Wrestling Training Center for my interview and tryout, I knew I had found something special. This wasn't just a wrestling school.  It was a family.

Starting this journey wasn't exactly conventional. I'm the oldest member of the company, but I've never believed age should define what you're capable of accomplishing. If anything, my life experiences have prepared me for this challenge.

I've served my country, lived through combat, and learned firsthand the meaning of commitment, sacrifice, and true camaraderie. Those same values are alive and well here at Phoenix Championship Wrestling, and that's what made me feel at home from day one.

Before joining PCW, I'd never experienced an independent wrestling show quite like this. I've attended wrestling events in Hawaii while I lived there, and they were fun, but nothing compares to the energy inside a PCW event. From the opening bell to the final pinfall, the crowd becomes part of the show. The cheers, the boos, the excitement, everything. It's all contagious.

One of my favorite parts of being a wrestler is interacting with the fans. I may not have the biggest following on the roster, but that doesn't matter to me. Seeing someone smile, getting a handshake after a match, or hearing a fan cheer my name reminds me exactly why I stepped into the ring in the first place. Those moments make every bruise, every workout, and every late night worth it.

I've been fortunate enough to compete on the main card, even if some of those opportunities came in preliminary matches. Every chance to perform in front of the PCW faithful is an honor. I've also had the privilege of competing in several battle royals, and there's nothing quite like standing in the ring, looking out into the crowd, and hearing the fans react to every moment. Whether they're cheering for you or hoping someone throws you over the top rope, that type of energy fuels you.

PCW has also opened many doors beyond Arizona. Thanks to the training, discipline, and high standards this company demands, I've had the opportunity to wrestle in Texas and New Mexico. No matter where I compete, I proudly represent the place that trained me. I truly believe PCW sets the standard for professional wrestling in Arizona, and I'd put our training up against anyone in the country.

My goal is simple: continue earning my place as a regular on the main roster and keep entertaining the incredible fans who support this company. As long as I'm physically able to lace up my boots, I'll continue giving everything I have, not just for myself, but for the PCW family that believed in me from the beginning.

Wherever wrestling takes me, I'll proudly carry the PCW name with me.

When people ask me what makes PCW different, my answer is easy.

It's the people.

We're more than coworkers or training partners. We look out for one another, celebrate each other's successes, push each other to improve, and work together to make every event bigger and better than the last.

Taylor Yorke, El Valiente, Baker Jeffcoat, Joey Hendrix, and Frankie Gamboa make up one of the most successful overall training groups that started together at the Arizona Pro Wrestling Training Center.

That's why I'm excited for Anniversary 8 this September at Skyline High School. I know our fans will bring the same incredible energy they always do, and I can't wait to meet new fans who will experience the magic of PCW for the very first time.

Because at the end of the day, this is about so much more than wrestling.

It's about family.

It's about passion.

It's about community.

We are Phoenix Championship Wrestling
