PCWAZ HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION
4 Successful Title Defenses
Championship Background:
The richest prize in all of professional wrestling in Arizona, the Phoenix Championship Wrestling Heavyweight Championship represents the very best wrestler through the trial of attrition, dedication, combat and forcible will. Phoenix Championship Wrestling was reviewing the wrestling landscape for over three years before announcing the inaugural tournament taking place in January of 2023 in an effort to make sure that only the very best qualified for the championship. Qualifying matches then took place featuring talent such as JR Kratos, Wise Guy, Stanley Logan, Remy Marcel and Toa Liona. The finals would see the unfolding of a triple threat match between CLAS, Jon Wolfgang and Joe Graves with Graves ultimately capturing Jon Wolfgang for his patented Half-Nelson overhead suplex, dropping the fan favorite on his head and knocking him out for the victory. Today the championship now stands as a symbol of excellence in professional wrestling.
